Air Force School Barrackpore came into existence in the year 1970 and was affiliated to CBSE w.e.f 1st April 1993 up to X-th standard. It is registered with Air Force Educational and Cultural Society under the Society’s Registration Act XXI of 1860 with registration no: SSS/108/EAC/2003. Air Force School Barrackpore is affiliated to CBSE vide code no: 2430047 till March 2023. Subsequently in the academic session 2013-2014 , it was upgraded to Senior Secondary School ( Commerce Stream) are.f 01 April 2014 vide letter no. CBSE/ AFF/Govt Wing/ 2430047 (old)/ 2480008 (new) / 2014/ 4279 dated 17 January 2014.

Atal Tinkering Lab
Air Force School Barrackpore has the facility of the Atal Tinkering Lab. This facility under the Niti Ayog of Indian Government provides facilities to budding youngsters to pursue their goal as future scientists for students of Class VI - XII.
